37. Enhancing Usability and Preparing for the Future

Welcome to an in-depth recap of the 37th installment of the BioCoherence Masterclass, part of our ongoing webinar series aimed at supporting the BioCoherence community. This informative session was particularly rich in features, updates, and future directions for the platform. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or just exploring the software, this blog post will walk you through the highlights of the session and help you better understand how to leverage BioCoherence for your practice and clients.

Webinar Overview

The focus of this week's masterclass was usability enhancements, practitioner-client connectivity, updates to the Play mode feature, the Pro Directory, and a preview of upcoming features—especially those tied to the much-anticipated clinic and company capabilities. This masterclass positioned the software not only as an advanced biofeedback tool, but also as a growing ecosystem for holistic practitioners to collaborate and engage more effectively with clients.

Summer Update Strategy

To start, the team clarified the development roadmap for the summer. New complex functionalities will take a backseat so the focus can shift toward simplifying everyday user and practitioner workflows:
  • No major new feature releases until the October summit.
  • Bug fixes, usability refinements, and minor enhancements will be prioritized.
  • The aim: make your life easier as a practitioner or user.
This approach aligns with feedback from users who seek a smoother day-to-day experience over additional complexity.

The Pro Directory: Get Discovered (Even Before Launch)

The upcoming Pro Directory will allow users to find and connect with qualified practitioners through the app interface. Although not released publicly yet, practitioners are urged to fill in their Pro Directory profiles early:
  • Enable listing visibility by checking "Join Pro Directory."
  • Add your:
  • Name and profile picture
  • Description and specialties
  • Languages spoken
  • Prices (optional)
  • Contact information
  • Client intake form
  • Why do it now? The Pro Directory is already influencing account-sharing and practitioner switching within the app.
Even though the public release is pending, adding your profile now allows users to find you internally via "Change Expert" within their app.

Client-Practitioner Switching: Now Simplified

One of the main usability upgrades is the improved process of switching practitioners directly from within the app interface. For end users, the process is straightforward:
  • Tap Change Expert in the app.
  • Enter your new practitioner's invitation code (e.g., P681).
  • Recent therapists are remembered for quick re-selection.
On the practitioner side:
  • Your unique invitation code (e.g., P20) is found by selecting Invite a Contact in your dashboard.
  • This code never changes.
  • Share it via QR code, short URL, or even on paper.
  • Once the code is entered by a user, the connection is established and the practitioner sees the user in their contacts.
⏳ Pending Fix: A few bugs regarding client visibility after switching experts are known and being addressed. For instance, users may not appear immediately or generate their name correctly. These should be fixed in the upcoming release.

Notifications and Logs: Tracking Collaboration

To make collaboration and multiple hands on a single case more manageable and transparent, a new notification log and exploration history tab are now visible in the system:
  • General Notification Log: Shows updates across all exploration files.
  • This Exploration Tab: A filtered view showing who made which changes (e.g., added programs, adjusted priorities).
These tools are essential for clinical environments where multiple practitioners work on the same client.

Introducing "Clinic" and Company Collaboration

The long-awaited clinic functionality is coming soon. This feature will allow multiple therapists to operate under a shared "company" umbrella within the platform:
  • No limit to the number of therapists or clients.
  • All team members can work on any client within the company.
  • Every action is tracked for audit and clarity through notifications.
  • Practitioners remain visible in shared tabs by profile picture and name.
  • Avoids problematic workarounds like sharing a single login across multiple therapists (this will be phased out).
BioCoherence is positioning this as a community-based model of shared care, enabling richer collaboration between professionals.

Play Mode Gets a Makeover

Many practitioners had overlooked the Play mode, assuming it was a lightweight or even gimmicky feature. That has changed. The Play mode now serves as a visual and functional entry point for both users and professionals to engage with progress insights:
  • Shows the user's current state through the "flower" visualization, representing energy coherence across 8 petals (categories).
  • Includes text explanations to help users interpret the meaning of each petal and their overall score.
  • Provides easy access to:
  • PDF report
  • Harmonic Boost
  • Personal Guide
  • Practitioner sharing
And coming soon:
  • Social sharing buttons for visual progress (e.g., flower evolution, personality profile).
  • "Star View" or "Billboard View" summarizing key metrics and screens to entice user engagement and shareability.
Play is not just play—it's an entryway into deeper insights in an accessible format.

Visual and Functional Usability Improvements

Several feature enhancements were discussed that aim to save time and streamline analysis workflow, including:

1. QR Codes and Short URLs

  • Practitioners can now generate QR codes for:
  • Invitation links
  • Basic program shares (e.g., "I don't feel well" quick recommendations)
  • Great for in-clinic use: a client simply scans the screen and joins automatically.

2. Harmonic Boost: Simplified Access

A new Play button is being implemented across most pages, allowing you to start the Harmonic Boost without navigating to the frequency tab. This will be especially useful when:
  • Testing reactions in real-time
  • Live testing during telehealth sessions
  • Navigating through multiple biomarkers in complex cases
Chat also highlighted the need for a Stop button for harmonic playback anytime.

Understanding Impact Scores and Priorities

One major area of confusion, particularly for new users, is interpreting the percentage numbers seen on structure and stimulus evaluations.

Clarity was provided:

  • The main "flower" score is from 0–100.
  • Higher = better coherence.
  • Impact scores in stimulus modules:
  • Higher = better positive correlation.
  • Seen as "low impact," "medium impact," or "high impact."
  • Not recommended items are being reworded as "reverse impact."
This shift helps clarify:
  • Emotions or biomarkers with low scores need support.
  • Stimuli with high impact scores are the ones that provide that support.
Confused? Think of it this way:
  • The lower the score in the petal, the more it needs help.
  • The higher the impact % in a stimulus, the more effectively it can help.
The UI will transition to new (+/-X%) formatting to make this even clearer in future versions.

Prioritized Search and Filtering in Stimuli

Currently, many items like "gold" (a structure) do not appear under stimuli lists because they are not classified as a stimulus — they are a structure, just like "euphoria" or "heart". Pro Tip:To add such items:
  1. Go to Priorities
  2. Click ➕
  3. Choose Pick a Priority
  4. Use the keyword search ("gold," for example)
This distinction between stimuli and structures has design logic:
  • Do not stack two structures; it's disharmonious.
  • Stimuli are designed to act upon structures, providing the therapeutic action.
For clarity, the team plans to add a unified search box (like Google) that will search across stimuli, structures, lists, and more.

Causal Chains and Future Enhancements

In advanced views like the Causal Chain, where interconnected biomarkers are shown visually, the team plans to enable:
  • Zoom functionality
  • Horizontal scrolling
  • Better legibility on crowded diagrams
This is crucial for advanced users who delve into the relational logic of structures and interventions.

What does the flower number in BioCoherence mean?
The center number represents the integral coherence score, ranging from 0 to 100. A higher number indicates better coherence across biomarker evaluations.
What does the percentage impact mean in the stimuli list in BioCoherence?
The stimuli list shows how much impact each frequency could have. Higher percentages indicate higher potential benefit. The labeling is being revised to show values more clearly as positive or negative impacts.
What happens when I add a stimulus with high impact in BioCoherence?
A high impact stimulus means its frequencies are likely to influence current biomarker needs positively. These are the most recommended additions for clients.
What is the personal guide in BioCoherence and how are frequencies played within it?
The personal guide uses sequences: it first activates the resource (structure) frequencies and then plays the priority ones. The client's consciousness is guided by voice during the session.
What's the difference between structures and stimuli in BioCoherence?
Structures correspond to resonating body parts or biomarker groups and have set frequencies. Stimuli are used to support those structures and are played together to influence specific outcomes. Structures are foundational; stimuli are enhancements.
